Paul’s letter contains instructions to Timothy concerning his focus. The younger man had faced strong criticism concerning his youth, which has drawn his attention. Paul reminded him of the importance of the need to give daily attention to reading, exhortation, and doctrine. His gift must not be neglected.
For the sake of others, you have been given gifts that must not be neglected. It is essential that you remain focused, maintaining your commitment to the Word and to prayer. As you continue to grow, you will be in a position to be a blessing to others.
