Joshua 24:14 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.
Thought for the Day: A Choice Must Be Made Reflection for the Day: Serve With Sincerity And Truth As Joshua came toward the end of his life, he spent time reflecting with the leaders of Israel on all that God had done for them. Joshua made it clear that as they were now possessing the Promised Land, a clear choice must be made. Israel must choose among the gods of Egypt, the gods in the new land, and the God that brought them across the wilderness. With their choice, it was essential that they worship the Lord in sincerity and truth. As saints come into the church they tend to bring their past with them. This includes a variety of things that compete with God for their attention and dependence. Wherever you might be in your journey you must make a choice. Place your complete focus on the Lord and serve him in sincerity and truth.
